Computing

At St Katherine's School & Nursery we use Purple Mash for computing.  Children all have their own log in details and can access their learning at home and school. The curriculum includes computer science, information technology and digital literacy in all year groups.

In computer science the children learn about algorithms and programming and develop their skills as they give instructions and debug programs with increasing complexity.

In information technology children learn to search for information and present data and information in a variety of ways using a range of software.

Digital literacy is increasingly important in today’s society, children learn how to use technology safely and with respect.  Children in all year groups cover digital literacy every term.

Children have access to class sets of laptops and Ipads for their learning.
