Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland

We will be linking our learning to environments where the weather is cold or freezing, such as the Arctic and the Antarctic.

We hope to share in some winter weather in our own environment too. Cultural week will support our learning about the traditions and culture of the Inuit communities situated around the Arctic Circle. We look forward to sharing our experiences with you through photographs and videos. Each class has a new role play area to further develop our learning. Gala Class have an 'Exploratory Laboratory,' where they are exploring snow and ice through digital microscopes, and having hands on discovery opportunities. Pippin Class have a ski centre shop and cafe, where the children have been starting to use money. Bramley Class have an igloo where they share winter theme books, writing and practice their fishing. As all the classes free-flow the children get chances to use all the role play environments.
