This week we have been reading the story of 'Pumpkin Soup.' We talked about the characters in the story and about how important friendships are. We looked at different sized pumpkins, cut them in half and used our senses to explore them. We made soup in class just like the squirrel, cat and duck. We prepared a variety of vegetables, safely using knives and graters and then after cooking, we tasted the soup. Some of the children liked the taste, but not all of them did!! In Phonics we have been recapping oral segmenting and blending, ready to start introducing letters next term. In Maths we have focused on the composition of 3, finding different ways to make this number.
