The Reception Classes have been visiting Ashenbank Woods near Cobham. They had a fantastic time exploring the new sights and sounds. There were insects and buds on some of the trees and many more very old, enormous trees for them to see and climb. They had lots of fun that disguised the learning the children engaged with, they used their creative skills and imagination, they looked for signs and writing in the environment, they made marks in the dirt, developed their confidence and physical skills as they learnt to manage risks while climbing and balancing, they took turns and helped each other and of course they talked about what they could see and feel, building their vocabulary and speaking skills. What an amazing day!
