On Wednesday 22nd January, pupils in Reception were treated to a visit from James the Fireman. He talked about the different aspects of his job, shared photographs and showed his uniform. He explained how his uniform protected him and then seven lucky pupils got to dress up. James accepted a challenge to get all his uniform on in less than a minute, which he achieved!
Then on Thursday, Reception pupils were visited by Caitlin a veterinary nurse. She showed the children how to wash their hands properly and allowed then to dress up in 'greens'. She talked about how she looks after different animals, in particular how to care for animals that have been burned, linking to our Australia Day on Friday. The children then all had a turn at handwashing and bandaging toy animals. What a busy and informative week!
