Red Nose Day 2017

The whole of St. Katherine’s school took part in the Comic Relief - Red Nose Day -celebrations. The school was a sea of many shades of red throughout the day. All the children brought in a £1 donation to the charity for the privilege of not having to wear their uniform. The School council prepared some special Red Nose Day biscuits and sold them to each class in the school

During the day the children took part in a joke competition, firstly in their classes, then in our end of the day assembly the winners from each class told their jokes to the entire school - a huge audience especially for some of our younger children. We are aiming to publish the winning jokes on our website! The children made a further contribution to enter their jokes - which meant that at the end of the day we collected a whopping £950 for the charity. Well done and thank you all very much for your generosity.
