Important things for you to remember
o We change the reading books daily if required. Would ask that you leave a comment in their reading record to confirm that you have shared the book or they have read the book.
o Your child needs to bring their reading books in every day to ensure they have it for when we listen to them read.
o Your child has a School to Home Learning book. This book will include their home learning for the week, sent out on Friday and returned for marking on Wednesday. We would also like to see any other home achievements in this book, or pictures etc the children would like to share with their teaching staff.
o PE kits need to be brought in at the beginning of each term and will be sent home at the end of term for laundering. EVERY ITEM in the PE bag needs to be named please.
o If your child wears earrings please can they be removed or covered with tape for the PE lesson, otherwise they will not be able to take part.
o During the Summer months when we go swimming, the girls will need a full swimming costume and the boys a pair of trunks, as well as both requiring a swimming hat, which can be purchased from the school office. Please can you make sure these items are named.
o The children have the opportunity to choose a book from the school library every week. Can you please make sure your child has their library book with them to change.
o Water bottles should only contain water. Please could you ensure your child has a labelled water bottle and is not carried in the book bag to prevent damage of books.
o We want to make full use of our outdoor area so please could your child have a waterproof coat on inclement days.
o Wellington boots for the outside area/messy play are very useful.
o Can we remind you that ALL of your children’s clothing should be labelled with their name. The children’s coats can be the same and this makes it impossible to identify a coat that is unnamed. Can we suggest placing a key ring on the zip that your child can identify. Can you also ensure all book bags are named, to prevent loss or mix-ups with other children.
