We have had a fantastic week of learning in Acorn class. Throughout the week, we have been using our listening and attention skills to learn all about the different coloured crayons in the book, 'The Day the Crayons Quit'. We answered questions about the story, earning lots of marbles for our jar. Speaking of our marble jar, we got to have our reward of milkshakes and biscuits. Our next reward is going to be hot chocolate with marshmallows, whipped cream and sprinkles!
We have been very busy doing lots of maths learning, we met Tommy Two from Ten Town this week. Ten Town is a maths resource we use in nursery, it helps us to build strong basic numeracy skills. We love hearing the stories about the different numbers and learning the songs to go with them. So far, we have met Zero Pond, King One and Tommy Two.
On Friday, we completed our own colour bar chart, we used our developing mark making skills to put a cross in the box to represent our favourite colours. We used different coloured resources to create a beautiful rainbow, noticing patterns and waiting patiently for our turn.
A big WELL DONE to everyone in Acorn class for having an amazing first full week back to nursery.
