If your child is self-isolating or we are in lockdown due to the Covid19 restrictions please click on the link below for this weeks Home Learning activities.

We have had a lovely week in Acorn class.  At the beginning of the week, some of us got creative and made pictures to enter into a World Book Day competition in association with Coram Beanstalk and Very.co.uk.  The adults got into the competitive spirit and made entries for the St Katherines World Book Day Bake Off!

It was fantastic to see everyone dressed up in their costumes for World Book Day on Thursday.  Enjoying books and listening to stories is one of our favouite things to do in nursery.  In keeping with our topic and recognising how we use technology in our lives, we heard authors read their own stories on YouTube, our favourite was hearing Kes Gray read his book Oi Frog!

In maths we recapped numbers zero to five, as we are eager to move on to number six next week.  We really like learning the songs to Ten Town, as each number has its own character and song to help us remember and learn about the number.  A link to the Ten Town songs can be found in this weeks home learning icon.

To end our week, we were really lucky to have been invited to a Virtual Pirate session organised by KCC, do not worry if you missed it, we were kindly given a pirate book to share with you in nursery.  Plus, we can teach you a pirate song and some pirate language that Pirate Sinead taught us.

Ahoy me hearties, see you back on Monday, where new adventures await us!
