We have finally joined the world of Facebook and Twitter this week, please take a look at all of the fantastic learning going on in Acorn class and throughout the school.
In our maths learning we have introduced a ten frame (a two-by-five rectangular frame) this is a really simple tool that is helping us to develop our number and counting skills. Can you make a ten frame at home and fill the squares with some of your favourite toys and count how many you have although together?
Our focus book this week 'Chicken Clicking' was about internet safety. It taught us the importance of asking an adult before we click content on our devices and how we must always speak to a grown up we know and trust, if we see things that make us worried.
Friday was comic relief, thank you to all of our families for your kind donations. We watched an inspiring video about a little boy with cerebral palsy, the video explained how our money is used to support charities help others less fortunate. To end our week, the grown ups in Acorn class were presented with a prize for being winners in the 'St Katherines Bake Off Competition'.
We look forward to returning to Acorn class on Monday, with springtime offically upon us!
