Where has this week gone, so much has happened. Our focus book this week has been 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar', we have linked so much learning, accessing a wide range of the eyfs curriculum. We have explored pattern, symmetry, shapes and counting. Our topic display is looking bright and colourful with lots of beautiful butterflies and hungry caterpillars.
We are all enjoying our early phonics activities, especially exploring voice sounds, singing songs loudly and quietly is one of our favourite activities. I think you can guess which is our preferred method!! It is lovely to see so many of our little acorns singing nursery rhymes in their child-initiated learning with their friends.
This week, we finally got to have our ice cream for filling up our marble jar, we had many sticky fingers and faces. We have decided to have a picnic when we fill up our marble jar again.
We do have some sad news to report, our bean seeds were growing well, but unfortnately are no longer with us! On a positive note, we had a lovely surprise visit from Mrs Aikenhead and our school dog Mylo, who is absolutely adorable. Please do not worry if you were not in, Mrs Aikenhead has promised to visit again next week.
