Our first term in nursery has come to an end.  We always enjoy having new children join us in September and this year has been no exception, our oldest acorns have been amazing at helping our new children settle in and learn our daily routines.  With everyone now establishing the expectations, building new relationships and developing new skills, it is important we take a little break and spend some quality time with our loved ones at home.

We hope you find some time to complete your 'Marvellous Me' books and stick in some photographs and write a little bit about your half term adventures.  We really enjoy looking through and talking about what our friends get up to during the holidays.  Lots of our children have been very excited about Halloween, we cannot wait to see pictures of the different costumes.

Our behaviour in Acorn class has been brillaint this term! We are only three marbles away from filling up our marble jar, we are planning to have our reward of face painting on the first Thrusday after half term.

Please find ideas for home learning challenges below, only if you would like to, this is not a requirement;

  • make a yummy recipe using a pumpkin
  • go on an autumn walk and talk about what you can see and hear
  • go on a pattern hunt around your home
  • find objects/toys that are tall and short - use language such as, tall, taller, tallest, short, shorter, shortest
  • draw a picture or build a model

HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND STAY SAFE!
