Our book this week was 'Goldilocks and the three bears.' The children have enjoyed sequencing the story using pictures and had fun acting out the story with masks. We discovered bear paw prints all around our outside area on Tuesday morning and the children were excited to run outside and find all the prints but unfortunately the bears had disappeared!! We also had a porridge tasting session with most of the children enjoying it, though others were not so keen! In Maths the focus was on capacity (empty, full and half full) and weight (heavy and light) and in Phonics we learnt about body percussion. Our wonderful Teaching Assistants have also been busy this week making a new sand pit for the children. We now have a dry sand area where the children can actually stand and sit in the pit and a wet sand tuff tray for moulding.
