Pippin class have been enjoying retelling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. They have been making voices to match the characters and adding music to the story with percussion instruments. They have been comparing sets of objects this week, working out which set has more or fewer and then counting to check. The Bears left us some porridge to taste and we liked Baby Bear's porridge best. It has been a busy week!

In Gala class we read the story of the 3 little pigs. We had fun acting out the story and making a giant story map to help us with our retelling. The children made a pig each, choosing various resources for the ears, nose and tail! We discovered that mixing red and white paint made pink. We have been exploring different ways to make sounds with our bodies as well as listening to instruments and following actions. We have been sorting and matching objects and finding odd ones out.

This week Bramley Class has enjoyed reading and retelling the story, "The Three Billy Goats Gruff". We have used masks and puppets to act out the story and have created fantastic bridges from various materials in the classroom. In phonics, we have explored making sounds using our bodies and instruments, creating rhythms for others to copy. We have enjoyed exploring capacity using different containers, predicting how many scoops of cereal will be needed to fill the cup. Bramley Class have also been counting sets of objects comparing which set has more or fewer with a variety of objects.
