This week, we have been enjoying the classic book 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' by Michael Rosen. Acorn class, have decided that it would be a good idea to go on our own bear hunt, but we would change the words to 'We're going to catch a small one', as we all agreed, a small bear would be less scary! Lots of us, helped Mrs Webb to retell the story and we all joined in with 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' cosmic yoga.
We have been taking daily trips to our vegetable patch, to give our seeds plenty of water. Hopefully, we will see some shoots, sprouting through the soil very soon.
In maths, our focus has been on the number seven, or Sir Seven as we like to call it from Ten Town, our interactive maths learning resource. Some of our older children have been eager to show off their number writing skills and are engaging in lots of counting activities.
Everyone in Acorn class is very excited, we are nearly at the top of our marble jar and that means we get a reward. Our marble jar is to celebrate positive behaviour and is a whole class approach. It has taken a while to get to the top this time, due to lockdown and self isolation periods, etc, but we are so close now! Only four marbles to go!
Have a great bank holiday weekend! See you all back on Tuesday.
