If your child is self-isolating or we are in lockdown due to the Covid19 restrictions please click on the link below for this weeks Home Learning activities.

Another week gone by in Acorn class.  Our focus book this week was, ‘Duck in a Truck’, and we all thought the duck was naughty because he left his friends in the muck!! The story had lots of words that rhymed with duck, we have been enjoying rhyming word games while having our morning snack. We also noticed that all of the vehicles in our focus books this term, have been red.  Keep a look out for next week’s book and see if you know the type of vehicle that is in the story and what colour it is?!

At the beginning of the week, the older members of Acorn class got to have a zoom call with their new reception teacher. We have lots of excited children, who cannot wait to start big school.

We had an exciting visitor on Thursday, a professional freestyle footballer called Jamie Knight. He showed us some cool skills using a football, we were all impressed with his handstand while balancing a ball on his back trick.  We went back to our garden area and tried to do some of the tricks, it was harder than Jamie made it look!

Lots of us have been demonstrating excellent mark making skills in our child-led learning time, we love using a range of writing resources to develop our writing skills.  We have also been completing our writing samples for our writing wall, this was the last time for some of us!  Please take a look at some of our before and after samples, we are very proud of our progress.
