If your child is self-isolating or we are in lockdown due to the Covid19 restrictions please click on the link below for this weeks Home Learning activities.

What a great week we have had in Acorn class.  The sun was shining,  it definitely put a spring in our step! We went on a spring walk and loved exploring the open space and finding different plants.  We will be learning about plants and how to grow and look after them next term for our new topic.  Can you help us to develop our garden by growing a plant at home, then bringing it to nursery to plant in our garden?

We have been busy updating our writing wall, everyone is really proud to have their work up on display.  We love to see how our prewriting skills are developing and the progress we are making.

Thanks to a donation from one of our previous little acorns and their family, we have purchased a basketball hoop and some new basketballs.  The adults were very impressed with some of the ball skills they saw.  It is safe to say, this new piece of sports equipment has gone down a treat!

We have been consoildating our maths learning, recognising our numbers to six, singing lots of number songs and counting objects using our ten frame to help us.

Of course, we have had lots of Easter fun.  We made cute bunny cards, we watched a video about Easter on Cbeebies and talked about why it is an important celebration for many families.  We made chocolate nest cakes and went on a hunt to find them, we had to count them before we were allowed to eat them.  To end our term, we had an extra yummy surprise from the Easter bunny!

We wish you all a Happy Easter.  Enjoy spending time with your family and friends (outside of course) and we will see you back next term, Monday 19th April.  Remember we are dressing up for 'World Earth Day' on the first day back, get your creative hats on.  Crisp pack dresses, recycling trucks made from cardboard boxes, turn your rubbish into something amazing to wear!
