Firstly, we would like to start off by saying we have missed all of our children who are staying at home. We hope you are keeping safe and well. Remember we will be keeping you up to date on on our learning in nursery via the home learning page and will share activtites for you to try at home. Next week we hope to be up and running on google classroom where we will share a live storytime. Instructions on how to access google classroom is on the Acorn class homepage.
This week in nursery we have really enjoyed our new story 'The Day the Crayons Quit', it has been a great introduction to this terms topic 'Express Yourself'. We had great discussions about how the crayons in the story were feeling, we are going to explore this further next week and link our feelings to the different colours. We extended our learning of our story into our play, using colours to make rainbows using a variety of media and materials.
We explored the number three and used our developing counting skills to count objects and actions. Our favourite activity was going on a number hunt around the nursery.
Puzzles have been popular this week in Acorn class, at one point everyone was engrossed with a puzzle during their child-intitiated learning, Mrs Webb and Mrs Aveling were wondering what was happening. We will find some new puzzles to try next week.
